Last week we decided to head to the park with some friends. We stopped at Sonic first. The kids had free slush coupons (also given to them by the library at the beginning of the summer program). We went during Happy Hour which meant that the total for 1 largeg real fruit slush, and 4 kid slushes was a whopping $1.18!! With our refreshments in hand we headed to the park only to find out that the playground part was closed for construction. Our friends had brought crackers to feed the fish in the pond so we decided to do that before heading to the next park. After the fish had eaten all the food the kids wanted to look at the fountains before leaving. Next thing Kirstin and I knew, they were all playing in the fountains. They were already wet, so we just stood back and let them have their fun.
The grossest part was that the fountains were clear when they started playing but after they had been playing awhile you can see the lovely brown shade of the water in the picture above. YUCK!
